Where to find cheapest studio apartments in Dubai

For any expat working in a global city, residential expense takes a significant cut out of his or her monthly income. So it’s only natural to assume that a sizable number of expats working in Dubai are also looking for affordable spaces.

Currently, localities in Dubai’s suburbs have become some of the most affordable areas for renting residential spaces and has compiled a list of areas where studio apartment rents remained the lowest in May 2016.

  5. Dubai Silicon Oasis

Following a thorough analysis, we found International City to the most affordable locality in Dubai for renting studio apartments during May 2016. The locality offered studio apartments at average annual rent of AED 31,000 and remains one of the favourite locality among a majority of the Asian expats in Dubai.

International Media Production Zone featured the second most affordable studio apartments with rents averaging AED 42,000 in May 2016. It’s located bang smack on Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road and neighbours Dubai Sports City and Jumeirah Village Triangle.

While talking affordability in Dubai’s suburbs, how can one leave out Dubailand? The locality offered studio apartments with average annual rent of AED 46,000 per annum and was the third most affordable place for renting such apartments in May 2016.

With annual studio unit rent averaging an attractive AED 47,000, Discovery Gardens became the fourth most affordable locality on our affordability list for May 2016. Its convenient access to Ibn Battuta shopping mall and Dubai metro is actively making it popular with expats in Dubai. The fifth most affordable locality for renting studios in May was Dubai Silicon Oasis. The said apartment category commanded average rent of around AED 47,500.
